MY BIOGRAPHY

I was born in Brescia in a ”normal” family. My dad was very strict, strong, cold and detached. A hard working plumber. My mother on the other hand ,was very creative, happy, kind and of a friendly nature; a gifted “soprano” and a dedicated tailor. My wonderful grandmother was very hard but sweet at heart. My older brother has a strong personality and a happy nature. I had a simple childhood with lots of ups and downs.

My upbringing was strictly Roman Catholic.  After primary school I attended the “Conservatorio” where I studied the harp and piano. I had a serious eye condition which I was told could result in  losing  my sight. As a result I suffered for many years. My faith gave me strength, I believed in life and mankind, so I took interest in art, poetry, music and anything created by us. I prayed to God to save my sight and promised to dedicate my life to bringing happiness, joy and peace wherever needed.

Thanks to this illness and to this lucky recovery, I had a “flash”, I let myself be guided by my impulse and chose to take a job in London, where I studied English and lived as an “Au pair” in a wonderful family. I looked after three children ( they had lost a two year old son not long before my arrival). After two years I came back to Brescia, but I needed to try a different experience, I had another “flash” so I left to join the “Cesare Togni Circus” and shorly after the “Liana Orfei Circus”. There I taught and have learned from 30 or 40 artists/children. I  lived with them for three particularly exciting years.

Back in Brescia I have now worked and studied in schools of all kind for the last 25 years, passing on my experience and my inner feelings. Using music, theater and knowledge I try to teach the magic of life by giving happiness, laughter, peace and the feeling of brotherhood.

... another “flash”,  now I am “Dottoressa Sorriso”.  I give support to suffering children who are in need of attention, in schools or hospitals. So I keep going. And God knows what the future will bring...  one thing is for sure “it’s wonderful to give a smile and get it back” !

Sharing is wonderful!
